Due to the fact that Ice is food, Iceland takes the safety, quality and presentation of its products very seriously. In order to ensure that it remains at the cutting edge of the industry in all respects, ICELAND is enrolled as a member of the International Packaged Ice Association (IPIA) which means that it is frequently audited to ensure that it is compliant with the most stringent of, amongst other things, health and safety standards.

Our products are manufactured at one of three state-of-the-art fully automated ice manufacturing and storage plants, using purified filtered and sterilized water, with the capacity and ability to stock and distribute huge volumes of ice through our cold storage facilities and refrigerated distribution fleet.

Our products include tube ice, cracked ice, shaved iced, crushed ice and cubed ice,. We also offer ice sculptures, carving ice blocks and other fun products targeted at the entertainment industry.

Iceland’s ice is untouched by human hands and its ice for retail sale is packaged in a fully biodegradable handle bag using automated heat seal technology to ensure the integrity and quality of the product.

It is the Iceland mantra to ensure that the cold chain is maintained at all stages of the process and that ultimately the product is offered to the end customer at the highest quality – we do go the extra mile to ensure that this happens.

Once manufactured, our ice is stored in large cold storages where the ice becomes further ‘hardened’ before being loaded onto our refrigerated vehicles for delivery to our customers’ locations.

Iceland has revolutionized the market for ice in Trinidad & Tobago. By using automated filtration, production and heat-seal packaging technology, Iceland’s products are the only in Trinidad and Tobago (and actually one of few in the world) that are truly superior in all respects.

In maintaining its business ethos, Iceland has thus far only aligned itself with market movers of a similar outlook and will continue to innovate and invest to ensure that it remains at the cutting edge of the ice industry.
